I'm watching TV
I see thousands of refugees
Fleeing the war and poverty
They are searching for freedom and peace
I see them drowning in the sea
I see thousands of refugees
Searching for a place to live
Penned up in a refugee camp
Scared and half famished
I see desperate daddies and moms
In search of their daughters and sons
They’re digging in the ruins of their
homes
Of their houses destroyed by drones
And I see women and men
And I see babies and children
Buried under the ruins of hospitals
Destroyed by missiles and drones
And I’m sitting at home, I’m watching TV
I’m watching
the news of the week
I see children and babies
With emaciated bodies
And their arms and legs
Are thin as matches
They got distended bellies
They got sunken cheeks
They got wide open eyes
They are too faint to cry
I see them dying in the arms
Of their desperate moms
Moms, who got nothing to give
Then prayers and tears
And I’m sitting by the meal, while I’m watchingTV
I’m
watching the news of the week
I see the feverish faces of babies
They are dying of simple diseases
They are dying of underfeeding
In the arms of their moms
Moms who got no medicine
No clean water for their babies
Not enough food
To keep their babies healthy
I see thousands of people
Demonstrating for freedom and peace
And I see them dying in the hail
Of the bullets of the police
I see thousands of people
Demonstrating for freedom of expression
See the down dashing night
sticks of the police
I see the blood on the streets
And then I change the channel of
the TV
And I see white yachts on the sea
And I see the
wealthy / with their luxury
They flaunt their richnessshamelessly
They light
up their thousand-dollar cigars
With thousand-dollar notes
They slurp a thousand-dollar champagne
Out of navels of costly sluts
They buy diamond rings
They buy politicians
They buy whole countries
With tons of money
And they put millions of dollars
And they gamble for the world
And they draw the borders of countries
After their fancy
And they get more and more rich
At the cost of poor women and men
And they flaunt their luxury
Shamelessly
And I switch of the TV, / I’m
feeling tired
And I go to sleep – good night
