Queen Ayleen
Once upon a time there was a queen
She ruled a kingdom south of the forest of the whispering trees
She was respected by the rulers
Of the kingdoms far and near
She was beloved by her folk - her name was Ayleen
She had defeated the ogre, a long while ago
As she had summoned the eagles with her song
The eagles killed the ogre
And Ayleen got crowned
Since then, she was a good queen to her folk
In the course of the years,
her hair was getting grey
And there were some wrinkles, on her face
But inside her deep blue eyes
Still this fire blazed
Fortitude, wisdom and goodness, Ayleen did emanate
The land blossomed out under
the rule of Ayleen
The people worked hard in the name of her queen
The fields became more and more
Fruitful year by year
The meadows and hills became more and more lush and green
There were bountiful
harvests of potatoes, rye and wheat
The ocean gave them fish, the forests gave them meat
The dwellers also became
Adepts of forging iron and steel
And the people of the kingdom lived carefreely and in peace
No one suffered
hunger and everyone was in good health
There was trading with other kingdoms - even with the dwarfs and elves
The ports were full of ships
From far away realms
Under Ayleen’s rule the land achieved a modest wealth
